Introduction
Welcome to Core Element, a professional, community run festival, by BeautyOfTheBass Events LTD.
For legal and policy purposes, all references to “Core Element” within this document are to be understood as referring to both the event itself and to its parent company, BeautyOfTheBass Events LTD.
At Core Element, we are committed to creating an environment built on positivity, inclusivity, and shared experience where every attendee can feel safe, respected, and free to enjoy the festival.
This Code of Conduct outlines the standards of behaviour and conduct expected from all participants to ensure a safe, respectful, and enjoyable experience for everyone.
These terms form part of the binding agreement between you and BeautyOfTheBass Events LTD when attending Core Element.
Please keep in mind that these rules apply for the entire duration of your time at Core Element, from the moment you arrive on site until you have fully departed, and that some conditions outlined within this Code of Conduct remain in effect even after the event has concluded.

By purchasing a ticket and attending Core Element, you acknowledge and accept these terms and agree to abide by all rules and policies contained herein. It is your responsibility as an attendee to stay informed of any updates or amendments, which may be made as necessary. Breaches of this Code of Conduct may result in removal from the festival, exclusion from future events, and, where appropriate, legal action or other measures deemed necessary to protect the safety, reputation, or integrity of the event and its participants.
1. Registration and Attendance
1.1 You must be 18 years or older at the time of purchasing a ticket. Valid ID will be required at the festival entrance and main event areas. Accepted forms of ID include passports, driving licences, national ID cards, ISIC cards, military ID, and any card bearing the Home Office PASS mark.
1.1a It is your responsibility to remain informed on the current accepted forms of ID.
1.2 Attendee wristbands must be visibly worn at all times on festival grounds when not in costume or fursuit.
1.2a Wristbands are valid only when properly worn on the wrist.
1.2b Lost wristbands must be replaced immediately at the registration area.
1.3 Access to the festival grounds and event grounds, including the car park and camping areas, is restricted to registered attendees with valid wristbands only.
1.3a Exceptions may be granted to attendees' carers, parents, or legal guardians, allowing them to drop off or accompany attendees into the event space. Such exceptions remain at the discretion of the event management team and security.
1.4 Tampering with or altering wristbands in any way is not permitted.
1.5 All attendees, including fursuiters and cosplayers, must present their wristbands upon request of staff.
1.5a Wristbands may be worn under costumes, but must be presented at the request of staff.
1.6 Pretending to be a registered attendee, including the use of fake wristbands or tickets, will result in immediate ejection and may lead to future bans.
1.7 Wristbands and tickets are strictly non-transferable. Lending a wristband to provide access will result in the immediate ejection of both parties and may lead to future bans.
1.8 Registration and attendance at Core Element are granted at the discretion of the event management team. To protect the safety, wellbeing, and overall experience of all participants, the event management team reserves the right to refuse or revoke registration or attendance at any time, for any reason deemed appropriate.

2. General Behaviour, Rules, and Conduct
2.1 Respect all attendees, staff, and on-site workers.
2.2 Discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to racism, transphobia, homophobia, biphobia, misogyny, ageism, ableism and body-shaming, will not be tolerated.
2.3 Instructions from event staff, crew, security, and on-site workers must be followed promptly, this is for your safety.
2.4 All attendees are expected to treat each other, event staff, maintenance and ground staff respectfully and civilly. We will not tolerate physical or verbal abuse of staff and crew, or other attendees at the event.
2.4a Abusive behaviour towards staff, crew, or any on-site workers will result in immediate ejection and a permanent ban from future events.
2.5 Attendees are not permitted in “Crew Only” areas.
2.6 Consent is required prior to any physical contact with another attendee or crew member, this includes anyone in costume or fursuit. Any breach of this will result in removal from the festival and could result in a ban from future events.
2.6a "No" means no. "Stop" means stop. You must respect and immediately comply with these requests.
2.6b If you are not sure if someone wants to be hugged, touched, tackled or pounced, please ask them first.
2.7 Sexual acts are strictly prohibited within event spaces and public spaces, this includes the stage areas, the catering areas, all areas of the forest, the car park, and the campsite.
2.7a Engaging in kink play, pet play, pup play, or BDSM-themed role play is strictly prohibited in public areas and event spaces. As this is not a kink event, such activities must remain private and confined to personal accommodations, including tents, caravans, camper vans, or motorhomes.
2.8 Disruptive behaviour may lead to warnings or ejection. Repeated violations may result in a permanent ban.
2.9 Personal music must be kept low. No personal speakers or Bluetooth devices are permitted in main event areas during event hours.
2.9a These devices may be used in the camping and car park areas, but attendees must be mindful of volume. This extends to vehicle sound systems.
2.10 A low noise curfew begins at 11PM within the camping and car park areas.
2.10a After 11PM voices must be lowered and music turned down to speaking level.
2.10b If a member of staff or crew asks you to turn your music down or off, or speak more quietly, you must do so straight away.
2.11 The use of walkie-talkies or personal radio communication devices by attendees is strictly prohibited within the event site. These channels are reserved for even operations, medical and security use only. Unauthorized use may result in ejection from the event.
2.12 Tampering with safety or crew equipment is prohibited and will result in ejection.
2.13 Attendees are liable for damages caused by irresponsible behaviour and may face fines for damages caused.
2.14 The climbing of trees, natural structures, or manmade structures is strictly prohibited. This is for your own safety.
2.15 Core Element is a litter free festival, littering will result in warnings and potential ejections for repeat offenders. Please respect the environment and your surroundings.
2.16 The use of body paint is prohibited.
2.16a Face paint and cosmetics are permitted, however attendees are reminded that they are responsible for any damages caused by transfer.
2.17 Light poi, glow sticks, and similar items are permitted but must be used responsibly.
2.18 The sale of merchandise outside designated trading spaces is forbidden without permission.
2.18a The sale of merchandise without insurance cover is not permitted.
2.19 Pets are not allowed, except registered service or assistance animals with prior authorization.
2.19a Attendees who require a service or assistance animal must contact the event ahead of time with relevant information.
2.19b Attendees are reminded that as Core Element is a festival event, the presence of loud music, loud sounds, bright lights and strobes is a certainty. As such it is strongly advisable to consider the welfare and training of your service or assistance animal.
2.20 Attendees assume all responsibility for their personal possessions and property, this includes but is not limited to; costumes, costume items, fursuits, vehicles, merchandise, and clothing.
2.21 Due to the outdoor nature of the festival, ground quality may at times be wet, uneven, and could be generally poor. Attendees are responsible for wearing appropriate footwear.
2.21a Festival management reserve the right to determine if footwear is appropriate for any area of the site in line with the conditions present.
2.21b BeautyOfTheBass Events LTD and Core Element staff shall not be held responsible for the condition of natural terrain on the event site.
2.22 All attendees must use the provided toilets. Urinating or defecating in the woodland areas or event grounds is strictly prohibited and may result in removal from the event.
2.23 Attendees wishing to utilise the events shower facilities are required to purchase a shower token at the bar prior to presenting it to staff for entry into the facilities.
2.23a To ensure adequate power supply for all guests, shower usage in the event facilities will be limited.
2.23b No more than one attendee is permitted per shower cubicle.
2.23c Showers are exclusively for the drainage of water, soap, body washes, shampoos and standard personal cleaning products. Attendees are strictly prohibited from disposing of any other materials down the drains and will be held responsible for any damage to the facilities resulting from misuse, and will be charged for any damages caused.
2.23d Misuse of the shower facilities may result in a ban from the facilities or from the event.
2.24 Attendees are responsible for informing the Core Element team of any relevant medical conditions prior to the event. Failure to disclose relevant information may limit the medical teams ability to assist and is done at the attendees own risk.
3. Clothing and Decency
3.1 Core Element reserves the right to request attendees to remove costumes or accessories deemed potentially offensive to other attendees, staff, or crew.
3.2 Attendees may not display symbols or clothing associated with offensive or extremist organizations or ideologies.
3.3 Offensive imagery on clothing, signs, posters, or personal items is strictly prohibited. Staff and crew reserve the right to ask attendees to remove or stow them away.
3.4 Real fur costumes or items are not permitted.
3.5 Sexually explicit costumes and attire that reveal genitalia, female presenting breasts, or exposed backsides are not permitted.
3.6 Nudity and overly suggestive clothing are not allowed in public areas. This includes the sole wearing of underwear, with exceptions for sports bras and crop tops.
3.7 You are free and encouraged to dress in any way that makes you comfortable, as long as the clothing is respectful to other attendees and does not cross the line of decency.
3.7a The event staff have the final say in what is deemed offensive or indecent and have the right to ask you to change if it is felt that your apparel is inappropriate.
3.7b Collars used as an accessory or as a cosmetic are acceptable as long as no leashes or tethers are in use.
3.7c Harnesses used as an accessory or as a cosmetic are acceptable as long as no tethers are in use.
3.7d Pup hoods and muzzles may be worn only as cosmetic attire.
3.7e The use of handcuffs or restraints of any kind is strictly prohibited in the event spaces.
3.8 The final determination of acceptable attire and items remains at the discretion of Core Element staff.
4. Alcohol and Substances
4.1 You are responsible for what you say and do, even if intoxicated or under the influence of substances.
4.2 Attendees are expected to drink responsibly. Excessive alcohol consumption is strongly discouraged.
4.2a Individuals seen to be displaying disruptive or intoxicated behaviour may be removed from the event for the safety and comfort of other attendees.
4.3 Rude or abusive behaviour towards bar staff will result in permanent refusal of service.
4.4 Bar staff are legally required to refuse service if you appear overly intoxicated.
4.5 Anyone incapacitated by alcohol or drugs may be escorted off-site or banned from future events.
4.6 Core Element is a glass-free event. Glass containers are not allowed on-site.
4.6a Each attendee is permitted to bring only the following alcohol options into the festival:
Up to 6x 500ml cans of beer, cider, or spirit mix.
4.6b Large containers of alcohol, including kegs, mini-kegs, wine boxes, or any bulk dispensers, are prohibited.
4.6c All alcoholic beverages must be declared to security personnel on entry to the event.
4.6d Excessive quantities of alcohol, alcohol in glass bottles or containers, non-permitted alcohol and undeclared alcohol may be confiscated and held until the conclusion of the event.
4.7 Smoking is prohibited in main event spaces, food areas, and camping grounds. Designated smoking areas are available.
4.7a Due to the safety risks surrounding smoking, attendees caught smoking in prohibited areas may be issued a ban.
4.7b Smoking inside Core Element hired bell tents may result in a fine of up to £100.
4.8 Vaping is permitted, but attendees are reminded to be respectful of other attendees and staff. If someone asks you not to vape in their vicinity, please respect their wishes.
4.9 Abuse of inhalants or similar substances is prohibited and will lead to ejection and possible future bans.
4.10 The use or possession of illegal substances is strictly forbidden. The possession, consumption, or sale of illegal substances is strictly prohibited. Violators will face immediate ejection from the event and will be reported to the police.

5. Camping and Car park
5.1 Attendees are responsible for any damage to Core Element Luxury hire bell tents.
5.1a Core Element Luxury hire bell tents must be left clean with no litter inside them. Any damage to the event tents will result in a fine to cover damages.
5.2 Ghosting is strictly prohibited. Non-registered guests may not stay overnight in attendee tents.
5.3 Smoking is strictly prohibited in the camping area.
5.4 Excess noise at any time in the camping area will result in warnings and possible ejection for major disruption.
5.5 Core Element staff are not responsible for personal belongings left in tents or vehicles.
5.6 Tents must be pitched in designated areas only.
5.6a If a member of the event staff asks you to reposition or relocate your tent, this is for safety reasons and attendees must do so as soon as possible.
5.7 On arrival in a vehicle, you must follow parking marshal instructions closely.
5.8 A strict vehicle speed limit of 5mph is in place across the site. Anyone caught speeding or driving dangerously will be removed from the event.
5.9 Vehicle engines must not be left running, and car sound systems should be kept low during the night and off past 11PM.
5.10 Campfires or open fires are not permitted at any time due to fire safety regulations.
5.10a Camping gas stoves may be used for cooking but should be used responsibly and be in good working condition. Core Element event crew reserve the right to ask you to stop using a gas stove if it is deemed unsafe or being used irresponsibly.
6. Weapons and Dangerous Items
6.1 Dangerous weapons or imitation weapons are strictly forbidden.
6.2 Fireworks and sparklers are not allowed anywhere in the event grounds.
6.3 Foam or plastic props are allowed, but must be inspected and approved by event ops.
6.4 Realistic mock weapons are prohibited.
6.5 Nerf guns are allowed, but may not be used to fire projectiles within the event space.
6.6 Cosplay and prop weapons are only acceptable if they are considered harmless and are intended to be used as part of a costume.
6.7 Tools and bladed items are only acceptable if they have a reasonable use such as a tent-peg mallet, or a small blunt knife for the cutting and consumption of food.

7. Photography, Videotaping, and Media
7.1 Commercial photography or videography is not permitted without authorization.
7.2 Photography and filming are allowed for personal, non-commercial use.
7.3 Consent is required to photograph or film individuals.
7.4 Photography in the dealers area requires dealer consent.
7.5 Photography, filming, or taping for the purpose of sale, publication, public media, dissemination or other commercial gain (e.g. Patreon) is expressly prohibited without written permission by the BeautyOfTheBass Ltd directors.
7.6 Areas in which attendees have a reasonable expectation of privacy are off-limits for you to record or take photographs. These include but are not limited to: toilets and changing facilities, fursuit lounges, the executive lounge, and “Staff Only” areas.
7.7 Providing photographs or videos taken at the festival event or of festival staff, volunteers, mascots, or attendees to media organizations or publishers is expressly prohibited without the prior, written permission of BeautyOfTheBass Ltd directors.
7.7a Breach of this rule may result in immediate removal from the event, exclusion from future BeautyOfTheBass Ltd events, and where appropriate, the company reserves the right to pursue civil remedies.
7.8 Photography and filming is generally allowed in all common areas of Core Element, however, photography and filming is strictly forbidden without permission in the dealers den and fursuit lounges.
7.8a Dealers are permitted to take pictures of their own Dealers’ space in Den but must ensure that other Dealers’ spaces are not visible.
7.9 Core Element photographers may record video and take photographs in the public areas of the festival, as well as during events, to be used in various official and endorsed publications such as: the Core Element website, highlight videos, press releases or other promotional materials. You agree that photographs and videos taken of you can be used in such publications, without release or compensation. A release will only be required for material filmed in situations where a reasonable expectation of privacy exists.
7.10 Core Element and BeautyOfTheBass Events LTD strictly prohibit the upload, publication, or distribution of any content that misrepresents the event, its attendees, crew, or organizers. This includes, but is not limited to, misleading or edited media, false statements, or any material intended to misinform the public or defame the reputation of Core Element or BeautyOfTheBass Events LTD. Individuals found to be creating or sharing such content may face a permanent ban from future events and may be subject to legal action if their actions result in reputational damage.
7.11 Core Element and BeautyOfTheBass Events LTD prohibits the use of AI-generated content in its productions. Specifically, manipulating event photos or videos with AI in order to mislead, or creating entirely new photos or videos of the event using AI. individuals generating such content intending to mislead or misrepresent the event may face a ban or legal action if the event's reputation is damaged.
7.12 The use of Core Element related hashtags, (including BeautyOfTheBass Events & Elvaston Castle), mentions, or any other form of association with the event when posting adult content, drug-related material, offensive imagery, or any content that could damage the event's reputation to social media or any public group chats is strictly prohibited. Violations may result in a permanent ban from all future events organized by BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd, and may lead to legal action where appropriate.
8. Warnings, Complaints, Ejections, and Bans
8.1 Core Element operates on a two-strike system for minor offences. First warnings are verbal, and repeat offences may result in ejection.
8.2 Severe breaches may bypass the two-strike system and result in immediate ejection.
8.3 If ejected, you must promptly leave the premises. Failure to comply will result in the police being summoned.
8.4 The Directors team reserves the right to issue a pre-emptive ban prior to the event, at their sole discretion, if there is sufficient reason to believe that an individual’s presence may compromise the safety, well-being, or overall experience of attendees or staff. The decision may be based on prior conduct within the wider community and community events or any other relevant information, and is final.
8.5 Attendees who are ejected from the event for misconduct be it severe or minor are not entitled to a refund.
8.6 Attendees who have a serious complaint or concern regarding Core Element or its staff are expected to raise the matter directly with the event management team through the appropriate reporting channels. You must give the company a reasonable opportunity to review, investigate, and respond to the matter before any public statements or discussions are made. This timeframe is 14 working days from the time of the original complaint.

Closing statement
The following general rule supersedes all other rules and may be invoked at any time:
Any of the following actions or behaviours may result in an immediate ejection from the festival, and a possible future ban from all BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd events:

Significant interference with festival operations;

Excessive discomfort to other attendees, festival staff, and/or members of the general public; or
-
Adversely affects BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd relationship with its guests or its venues; or
-
Discrimination of any kind, including but not limited to racism, transphobia, biphobia, misogyny, ageism, ableism and body-shaming.

Finally, by purchasing a ticket, accepting accreditation, or engaging with Core Element Festival as an attendee, crew member, contractor, or performer, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Code of Conduct, and it’s procedures which form part of the Festival’s terms and conditions of entry and participation.

These rules are not open to discussion during the convention.
Decisions by the directors are final.
The definition of unacceptable behaviour remains at the discretion of the BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd directors.
