Media access

Core Element and BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd as an organisation has little interest in the media, our priority is making sure our members have a great time. As a private members event for the exclusive enjoyment of our attendees, we take our privacy and safety very seriously. Should a reputable and understanding media source approach us, we may allow entry under strict circumstances. Thorough investigations into intent, purpose and credentials will be performed on any members of the press or media before granting access.

 

Core Element photographers will be identifiable by their garments which will read ‘Core Element photography’. These photographers will be taking photos and recording throughout the event. If you do not wish to be in Core Element’s photo gallery or promotional material, please contact entertainment@botbevents.com or approach one of our photographers to make the request.

This policy outlines the options for media engagement. Any media contact we establish is intended solely to inform and entertain the general public in a responsible manner.


Event Policy and Guidelines

BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd reserves the right to grant access or deny access to any member of the media or media organisation. Should we grant access to a member(s) of press / media organisation, they must show ID and permissions at the gate. They must attain the identification provided to them by BeautyOfTheBass Events to proceed into the festival upon check in. Press and media will always be escorted by a director, head of department or appointed media relations officer.

 

In order to cover Core Element, any media and press must contact BeautyOfTheBass Events before the 30th of June via entertainment@botbevents.com Any press members emailing after this time will most likely be rejected at the discretion of BeautyOfTheBass Events Ltd.

All press must agree to the following minimum conditions in order to obtain passes:

  • To respect the attendees of all kinds, events and environment.

  • Coverage must be limited in time and scope.

  • All press must respect our attendees' right to refuse to be filmed, photographed or recorded.

  • Any footage obtained at the event may only be used in regard to the event itself and must be used as one continuous segment. No member of the press shall be allowed to enter the Dealers Den.

  • Attendee organised events and attendees have the right to deny access to their specific event.

 

Attendee Guidelines

If a paying, registered attendee of the festival attends Core Element with the purposes of acting as press, or makes a nuisance of themselves with filming / photography equipment, they may be ejected from the festival with no refund. Making a nuisance of oneself for the purposes of media coverage, videoing and photographing includes but is not limited to:

  • Taking photos without consent

  • Targeting vulnerable individuals

  • Asking uncomfortable questions for the purposes of filming reactions

  • Acting obnoxious and invasive to attendees or staff with the purposes of filming reactions.

If any attendee suspects another attendee is acting as media or is participating in the above behaviours, please contact staff.


If any attendee is contacted by a representative of the press, it is advised they should direct the inquiry to management.team@botbevents.com

Final Points

As an attendee, you have the right to refuse any approach by a member of the media. BeautyOfTheBass Events will uphold these rights legally if necessary.

If you observe any media member unaccompanied, please contact Event Operations or the nearest staff member immediately.
